Hi! My name is Pam Sandy and I’m a wife to a great guy, a mom to two adult children, and Mimi (grandma) to three beautiful grandchildren, ages 1, 4 and 5 year old. I also have three loving and very spoiled dogs.
I come from a very crafty family. At age nine, my grandmother, a professional seamstress, taught me how to sew. I’ve been scrapbooking for over 15 years and I enjoy making cards, ATCs, altered art, jewelry, quilting and sewing projects. I also love to design patterned and I craft in several other mediums. Additionally, I’ve made and sold a variety of projects, including porcelain dolls, clothing, laser steel artwork, baby clothing, apparel, bridal accessories, home décor and more. Basically, love to craft and create!
Since I’ve been sewing and quilting for so many years, I have a deep love for fabric and I try to incorporate it into as many projects as I can, including scrapping, card making and altered art pieces.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have served on several design teams and my work has been published in several e-zines and magazines, including Scrapbook News and Review. I enjoy teaching others to craft and create and I’ve taught many classes. I currently co-teach a hybrid (part online, part face-to-face) Scrapbooking as Art class at DePaul University SNL, and I’ve done so for over four years. I’m now working on a new class at DePaul University's SLN - Art Journaling as well.
I love color and texture, trying new techniques and sharing my knowledge with others. When I’m not at work as a volunteer coordinator, or creating, I love spending time with my family and my dogs as well as gardening, cooking, canning, volunteering and travel (especially on the back of my husband’s Harley). I look forward to creating with everyone at The Art Studio @ Scrapbook News and Review and I wish you a joyful and creative day!
